Introduction:
Sunday, July 31
Tomorrow is the first day of school! I can’t wait! There are good things about going back to school and bad things. The good things is that I can see my friends again—and of course, my best friends, Eric, and Jessica! The bad things are that since I’m entering middle school and there would be a lot of drama because of last year. Well wish me good luck for tomorrow!

Chapter one: Getting to school
I woke up at 6:30am as usual. I got ready and walked to school taking the same path I would always take to school. Of course, Eric would be there coming out of his house at 7am. It was 5 minutes to 7am. I waited outside his house waiting for him to come out.
7:05am... 7:10am... 7:30am...
What is taking him so long? I climbed up the steps of his house and knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked again. Pause. No answer. As I was going to turn around and leave Eric came out.
”What took you so long, Eric? I was beginning to worry about you.’’ I said.
‘’ You don’t need to worry, Amy. I just woke up late today.’’ Eric explained.
‘’Well come on, let’s get to school. Breakfast is starting already and we’re late!’’

Chapter 2: Macy
Eric and Amy finally made it to school. They went into the cafeteria where no one was to be spotted.
‘’Where is everybody?’’ says Eric.
‘’Maybe there is no school today…’’ Amy suggested.
‘’But school has always started on August 1st,’’

In the gym are Jessica and her friends. Jessica is Amy and Eric’s best friend. Jessica started to wonder where they are.
Breakfast was on the gym and everyone in the school knew about that except Eric and Amy. It was told on the last day of school but of course Eric and Amy didn’t listen.
Jessica and her friends just sat on the table growing impatient minute by minute.
‘’We should probably just forget about them.’’ said Macy.
‘’What? No! They’re our friends! We can’t just forget about them. Plus this is the first day of school!’’ exploded Jessica.
‘’So much for suggesting an idea,’’ muttered Macy.
‘’What was that? Can you repeat that, I didn’t hear you.’’ said Jessica.
I am sick of Jessica, thought Macy. Maybe I shouldn’t be her friend. But she is one of the popular girls I don’t know what she will do to me. Or I can make a plan to ruin her popularity so that I can be mean to her like she is to me every day!
Macy told them she’ll be right back to supposedly fix her hair.
‘’Well they probably are in school right now because I know they wouldn’t miss a day. They must not know that we are supposed to be in the gym!’’ said Alex.
‘’I’ll be right back, I think I might know where they are.’’ Jessica said and left the gym.
