A Halloween Nightmare

Prologue ღ
She glanced around nervously and saw a white, ghostly-looking cat. He lifted his head and stared at her lazily, with his cloudy blue eyes. Was it my imagination, or are the stars and the moon falling out of the sky? She thought to herself. She turned back and stared at the cat. Instead of the cat, there stood a boy. He looked like a normal human being, but she could still see what he was trying to hide. She doesn’t know how lucky it is to be a human being, the boy thought to himself. How precious the human life is, yet they don’t acknowledge it. The boy sauntered forward when it saw that the girl wanted to talk to him. The girl smirked inside, as she took off her “pen” from her belt, and turned it into a knife. The boy’s eyes widened with disbelief as the knife disembodied his shoulder.

Chapter One ღ
"What's your name?" the boy asked.
"Irene," replied the girl.
The boy saw that Irene wasn't the most perfect girl anymore. She had a gold, coiled bracelet and weeeird bracelets around her arms. When he came closer, he realized that they were not bracelets...they were actually runes and a whip. He felt a sharp pain and then heard a hissing sound. The girl laughed.
"Got you!" whispered a voice behind him.

Chapter 1 (cont.)
Cassandra saw a girl pull off something glittery from her right arm. Is that a knife?? Cassandra thought. She quickly followed the boy who was following the girl. She hesitated at the STAFF ONLY door and swiftly glanced around. Her friend, Simone was busy telling the police about what Cassandra saw. Taking a deep breath, she walked in.

Chapter Two ღ
"Let me go!" a raspy voice screamed
"Too bad. Are there anymore of you?" asked Irene
"No...now let me go!" a thumping was heard.
Cassandra stepped out from the tangled pile of cables that she was hiding behind. When she looked around, she saw a girl, about 4 boys, and a bird that was as white as a ghost.
"What are you doing?" asked Cassandra
Irene whirled around.
"What are you?" asked Irene
"A human, just like you," retorted Cassandra
"She's a girl, like you, Irene," said the boy with the knife set with red stones.
Cassandra crossed her arms. Why do they even have those weird tattoos? Are they some kind of gang? Cassandra thought to herself.
The boy with the knife raised it and prepared to kill the demon.
"Nooo!" Shouted Cassandra.

Chapter Two (cont.) ღ
The demon finally escaped his bonds.
"Thank you," he said to Cassandra as he transformed to his real demon form. "I owe you one" he smirked at the other people gathered around him.
Cassandra gaped at the demon.
"LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONEEEE!!!" screamed Irene
She lunged at the demon and whipped him with her golden whip. The demon screamed and fell onto the floor. The bronze haired boy took out his knife and severed the demon's head off. Slimy black goo went flying around a 3-foot radius.
Irene turned back to Cassandra and said:
"Dumb little mundie. You nearly killed all of us!"
She whipped her whip around Cassandra's right wrist.
"Ouch! Let me go!" yelped Cassandra.
"What do I do with her?" Irene asked the tallest boy in her group.

"Let her go," said the tallest boy reluctantly.
"Umm...Hodge might want to question her...do we take her back to the university?" asked the bronze haired boy.
"NO WAY!" screamed Irene
"Just let her go," said the tallest boy.
The whip slithered away.
"Just don't look for us," hissed one of the boys.
"Cassie, where is the girl that you told me about?" asked Simone
"Uhh..I don't know...It was probably a trick of the light," said Cassandra lamely.
Behind her, Irene giggled.
The police glared at Simone who glared at Cassandra. She gave Simone a casual shrug as they walked out of the STAFF ONLY room.
Chapter 4 ღ
I need to go back to my house. Cassandra thought. There's a lot of weeird things going on.
**ring ring**
Cassandra picked up her android and said
"hello?"
"Cassie! Thank goodness you're safe!" exclaimed her mother, "DON'T go home! Go to Simone's house AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!"
