My alarm went off! I looked up...all of my bags were unpacked!!! Then, I looked in my parents room...both of them were sleeping! I hit off my alarm, ran downstairs, and ate breakfast. I just ate bread. I found a note..which said;

Dear Alexis;
I'm sorry about everything that I said and so is Mom. We saw that you were going to run away..so we unpacked your stuff. If I were in your shoes, I would try to run away, as well. We love you very much. I'm sorry we aren't much of parents to you. I promise I won't go out anymore. I'll be home when you're home. Sorry that we're sleeping..we stayed up late, watching tv. Well, I hope you have a great day at school.

I hopped on the bus and sat alone. It was going to be my first day of middle school. I was hoping to make new friends, but still keep the old.

It seemed like the bus driver was taking FOREVER to get to the next bus stop! I thought to myself. "I think I'm the only one from my grade in MY SCHOOL having these teachers?" That was very much possible. Everyone texted which teachers they got, and they weren't mine. Finally, we were at the next bus stop. This bus stop I think is my one of my bffs, Jason. Some boy screamed, "Where is my best friend, Alexis Fish?" I laughed. I raised my hand. Jason came over, pushed me to the window, and sat down. I told him about my parents, and then he gave me a hug. I'm so proud of you! Thanks, I replied back. Then, my other bff, Bailey, was at the next bus stop. She screamed, "Where are my bffs? Jason and Alexis??" Jason and I laughed together. Right here, we screamed back!

I loved Bailey! She was my bff since 1st grade! Jason was my bff since 3rd grade. Bailey was a girly-girl/tomboy. Like me! I forgot what teachers they both had, so I asked them. Jason said, "I have John and Nelson." Bailey's eyes lit up. "Same Jason!" "What about you, Alexis," asked Bailey. I looked down. I said, "I have Hall and Smith." Jason saw I was upset that I wasn't with them, so he changed the subject. "Am I the only one having the jitters about going to middle school?" Nope, Bailey and I said. I asked, "Did you guys hear about the school dance this Friday? Its like a dance to meet new people. I don't get it, since we're meeting them in class..but the dance will be fun." Yeah, the dance will be fun, they said. My smile got wider. "Guys! There's still a chance I can be with you for some classes! I can't wait until we get our schedule!" "Same!," said Jason! "What about you Bailey?", Jason asked. Bailey was sleeping. I laughed, "Ah...typical Bailey." Jason punched her in the arm, and Bailey screamed, "OW! What was that for?" Jason, Bailey, and I were quiet the entire way to school. As we got off the bus, I was even more scared then ever.

Us 3 walked together to the front door. We opened the door, and when to the cafeteria, where some teachers directed the 6th graders.

Wow... my jaw opened. There were signs all over the cafeteria about the dance, this Friday. There were also signs on all of the tables about which teachers. Bailey and Jason waved goodbye to me, and I walked to my table, alone.

When I walked to my table, my teachers were really nice!! They let us text our parents to tell them that we're okay!
