Are you allowed to trade tree house seeds?

So yeah, I'm confused because someone's told me that you can't trade them but then someone's told me you can.

Nope, the Magical Seed (that gives the treehouse) is not tradeable. You can trade the Mystery Seed (gives a donut tree) and and ??? Seed (gives a disco tree).
