How to upload animated gif signature

When I try to upload a gif on the ¨Host an image¨, it comes out not animated. Why does this happen?
Is it because the file size is too big or the width and height are too big?
help plz T T

Yes but when i upload using the "Host an Image" thing, it comes out as jpg (in the url code). I've tried doing gif instead of jpg in the code but it doesn't work ;c

Try use a better uploading site.
I use imgur.com and it works really well ;33
