I just won The Poetry Games for my region!

Hey,
The Poetry Games is a national competition where children 11-18 write a poem and they get sent away with the childs, poem name and address.
I just got a letter from Young Writers saying that I had won it for Yorkshire.
It was addressed to my parents but I had to open it.
My poem is going to get published and I am in it to win an ipad!
I'm going to give you guys a sneak peek of my poem.

My hero
At birth, my dad held me in his arms and told me I would never get harmed.
Every time he went off to war,
I watched and stared in complete awe.
Sitting in the window month after month,
Not even stopping for my lunch.
Hand in hand with my dad every May,
Off to the memorial to respect who lay.
Laying down the poppies and watching him cry,
I wondered where I'd be, If he were to die.
Time came again and he was whisked off to war,
Two weeks later, we got the call.
Honoured like a hero, I was so proud, my dad, placed gently in the ground.

It was probably a scam because one of my friends got the same letter and we go to the same school.

Yeah, it was a scam, they sent one to everyone who entered saying that everyone had won so they would buy a copy for £15 + postage and package.
My poem was epic!
